Welcome to CitSciOz25!
The Australian Citizen Science Association (ACSA) is thrilled to announce our fifth biennial conference to be held in Melbourne, October 13-15, 2025. Our theme “A Catalyst for Change” celebrates the impact of citizen science in addressing many of our most pressing challenges across climate, environment, health, education, sciences and humanities. The conference aims to engage diverse audiences, from practitioners and policy makers to researchers and educators throughout Australia and beyond.

REGISTERING AS A MEMBER
To register as a member, you must be a current financial member of ACSA, AAPS or ECSA.
ACSA memberships run from 1 July to 30 June each year, in line with the financial year. To be eligible to use the member discount code, you will need to be a member during the 2025-26 financial year. If you don’t have a valid membership at the time of the conference, we will ask you to pay the non-member rate.
Consider becoming a member of ACSA or Renew your current membership for reduced Conference registration fees. If you sign up now as a member, you will find the MEMBER DISCOUNT CODE in your Welcome email. Existing members should have received it in an email. If you are a member and still need the code, contact us.

Please note: Earlybird registration rates will not expire for accepted speakers. To access the speaker registration link, please check the email you received confirming acceptance of your abstract. If you haven’t heard anything about your submitted abstract, please contact us.
REGISTRATION FEES and INCLUSIONS
Full registrations include:
• Entry to all conference sessions
• Morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea when applicable for the duration of the conference
• Conference name badge
• One (1) ticket to the Welcome Networking Function
Day registrations include:
• Entry to all conference sessions on the day of registration
• Morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea when applicable on the day of registration
• Conference name badge
NB: Social function tickets are not included in day registrations but can be purchased for additional cost.
Welcome Networking Function
Kick off your CitSciOz25 experience at the Welcome Networking Function. Enjoy food and drinks whilst catching up with old friends and making new ones. Tickets are inclusive with full registrations. Additional tickets for day registrations and guests may be purchased for $50.00 per person.

*Concession Registration – To qualify for the concession rate, you must hold a valid student, seniors (60+), pensioners and / or veterans concession card. You may be asked to provide evidence of this.
PREFERRED ACCOMMODATION
The conference organisers have negotiated discounted conference rates at preferred accommodation . Bookings may be made via the registration portal as part of the registration process, depending on availability. [Discounts apply to bookings between Sun, 12 Oct and Thu, 16 Oct 2025. Bookings for arrivals and departures outside of these dates will be subject to availability and may not be offered at special conference rates (at discretion of hotel)].
REGISTRATION TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. All amounts are in Australian dollars and include GST.
2. The conference will accept payments via Electronic Funds Transfers and Credit Cards (MasterCard, Visa and AMEX).
3. All credit card payments will attract a 3% handling fee. Debits to your credit card will appear as ‘Premier Event Concepts’ on your statement.
4. Payment of earlybird registration fees are required by the earlybird date deadline to qualify for that rate. After the earlybird date deadline, all unpaid earlybird registrations will automatically roll over to the regular rate and delegates will be charged at the regular rate.
5. Payment for all registrations and related functions must be paid in full prior to the commencement of the conference. If full payment is not received, admission to the conference may be refused.
REGISTRATION CANCELLATION POLICY
1. Registration cancellations must be sent in writing by mail or email to Premier Event Concepts. These changes will not be accepted over the phone.
2. Registration cancellations received up to 30 days prior to the event will receive a full refund, less a $100.00 handling fee.
3. Registration cancellations received less than 30 days and up to 7 days prior to the event will receive a 50% refund.
4. No refunds will be given for registration and social function ticket cancellations received within 7 days of the event; however, a substitute delegate may be nominated.
